There are fun things to see and do for every age group – the Grand Central Floral Parade, sideshow alley, arts and crafts, the Festival of Food & Wine, music, tours, fireworks, and of course the spectacular floral garden displays!

Hampton Festival

Hampton is a rural town 30 minutes’ drive north-east of Toowoomba. It is known as the heart of the High Country, and is surrounded by beautiful forests in a climate that makes it one of the best places to grow avocados and rhubarb. Each year, on the third Sunday in May, there is the Hampton Festival which is a popular celebration of local food, wine, art, and culture. It’s hard to leave without taking home some of the local fresh produce!

Crows Nest Country Music Festival

Crows Nest is another rural town located in the High Country. It is approximately 40 minutes’ drive north-east of Toowoomba, and 10 minutes’ drive from Hampton. Crows Nest is a warm and friendly district in a picturesque location. One of the town’s annual events is the Crows Nest Country Music Festival which features both country music and bush poets. The Festival week can include activities such as main shows, a poets breakfast, dinner and entertainment, and a meet and greet BBQ. The next event is June 10-16 2024.
